Abstract

Prof. Alexander I. Zaicev (1926–2000) was a famous Russian classicist, who has had considerable impact on several generations of scholars in St. Petersburg. The article deals with his activities as supervisor and reviewer of degree theses of alumni of the Department of Classical Philology of St. Petersburg State University.
