Сравнение как толкование источника: Verg. Aen. XII, 697–703
Аннотация
В статье речь идет о сравнении Энея с горами Афон, Эрик и Апеннин (Aen. XII, 697–703), основанном на описании Гектора в «Илиаде» (XIII, 754–755). Автор рассматривает сопоставление как на предмет tertium comparationis, так и с точки зрения его соотнесенности с источником, уделяя внимание возможным объяснениям гомеровского пассажа. Отдельно обсуждается выбор гор для сравнения: разбираются возможные причины «диспропорционального» описания Апеннина и, в частности, употребления слов ipse и pater.
