Some of them are «termini technici» of diff erent areas of knowledge — from literature and philosophy to astrology, some are related to the life of the Christian church contemporary to Sidonius. Th e roles of these words are diff erent: some words are just neutral, used in their common meaning, some, especially in a phrase with other grecisms, form some expressive constructions (asyndeton, parallelism), or create ironic or, on the contrary, elevated atmosphere.
